Nicodimus Kuipa – Board Chairman

Nico Kuipa, attended Goromonzi High School and the University of Zimbabwe and also attained an MBA degree from Africa University Mutare from 2004 to 2007. He has been a realtor since leaving the university in 1993, passing through the hands of CB Richard Ellis, Knight Frank, Old Mutual Properties and Southgate & Bancroft.

Kuipa founded Southbay Real Estate in 2006 with a staff of one and growing to the current 24. He is a former president of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (2005 -2007). He has held many other positions in the Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe including being the immediate vice chairman and finance committee chairman.

Kuipa is a real estate practitioner with in excess of 26 years experience covering all facets of the property industry including property management, valuations and sales. He has handled valuations for many organisations including banks and insurance companies and pension funds. He is greatly motivated by the ability to take and excel in new challenges.

Lloyd Mhishi – Vice Chairman

Lloyd has 27 years legal practice experience as an associate and partner in the well-known law firms of Honey & Blanckenberg and Dube Manikai & Hwacha in Zimbabwe and as Founding and Senior Partner of Mhishi Nkomo Legal Practice whose details are found at He has extensive experience and knowledge of Conveyancing Law and Practice, Corporate and Commercial law, Arbitration and Criminal and Civil litigation.

He has also been a lecturer for Conveyancing and Notarial Practice since 1999 and has been the Chairman of the Procedural Law Department of the University of Zimbabwe for over ten (10) years. He also assisted with the lecturing of these courses on a part time basis at the Midlands State University and at the Great Zimbabwe University.

Lloyd was a Councillor of the Council for Legal Education for many years and is its Chief examiner for the Conveyancing and Notarial Practice examinations. He has also been a Councillor of the Council of the Judicial College of Zimbabwe. Has also served as a resource person for the AIAS and the World Bank, on land reform and land tenure.

Have been appointed and served as Director of a number of organisations including the following:- Dawn Properties Limited, FBC Building Society, Ecobank Zimbabwe Limited, The Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council and the Standards Association of Zimbabwe General Council.

Lloyd was a Councillor and President of the Law Society of Zimbabwe between 2003 and 2014. Has served as Councillor of the Estate Agents Council since 2014 and is currently the Vice Chairman. He is an elected member of the Zimbabwe Cricket Board and has served on various Constitutional Commissions including being Commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission.

In 2005, he authored and published a book entitled the ‘The Law and Practice of Conveyancing in Zimbabwe’. Have authored and presented a number of papers on various topics relating mainly to Land Rights and Land Administration in Zimbabwe.

Audrey N. Kwangwama – Board Member

Audrey is Registered Estate Agent, Registered Valuer with the Valuers Council of Zimbabwe, Registered Town Planner with the Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners and a member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe.

She is a holder of Bsc and Msc Rural and Urban Planning, Masters in Business Administration, and is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Zimbabwe.

She has more than 23 years of experience in real estate gained through working for City of Harare, University of Zimbabwe, CB Richard Ellis, Old Mutual Property and Renaissance Capital. She is currently engaged in a lectureship position at the University of Zimbabwe.

She has also held the positions of Chairperson: Departmental of Rural and Urban Planning position at the University of Zimbabwe (January – August 2006), President of The Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (2011-2013) and Vice Chairperson: Urban Development Corporation Board (2016-2019), among others.

She contributed to the establishment of the Real Estate Management Degree at the University of Zimbabwe in 2010. She has also served as ZIMCHE Peer Reviewer during the establishment of NUST as well as Lupane Real Estate Degree Programmes.

Elvis Benhura – Board Member

A Registered Valuer with the Valuers Council of Zimbabwe, Registered Estate Agent and Member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe. Elvis engaged in the Real Estate Industry from 2010 at the age of 21 passing through the hands of TWRE Zimbabwe and Red Rose Real Estate, acquiring experience in property valuation, management and sales. Currently he is a property valuer in the Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing (Valuation and Estates Management Department) from November 2013 to date. He is 31 years old.

Patience Munetsi-Patongamoyo – Board Member

A certified Accounting Technician, Managing Director, Principal Registered Agent and Licensee for Seeff Properties Zimbabwe. She embarked on her Real Estate journey in 2001 after joining the then Gainsborough Estate Agents which later became Seeff Properties Zimbabwe giving her 19 years experience in the industry as an all rounder. She obtained her Estate Agents Licence in 2008 and also a Licentiate with the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (REIZ). She is also a holder of an Executive Diploma in Business Leadership with Zimbabwe Institute of Management.

Luke Matimba – Board Member

Luke is a dynamic realtor with over seventeen years of experience in the property industry. He passed through; Property Hopes Real Estate, Southgate and Bancroft where he was at strategic level of the respective organisations and he is currently the Assistant Property Manager at Mining Industry Pension Fund. Former Vice President of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe and he sat on the board for six years. Luke is Registered Valuer with the Valuers Council of Zimbabwe, a Registered Estate Agent and a member of the South Africa Institute of Valuers (SAIV). Luke holds a BSc Real Estate Management with University of Zimbabwe (UZ) and currently pursuing an MBA with UZ. He is a Minister of Region with passion for Counselling.

Charles Manhiri – Board Member

Charles is a holder of an LLBs(Honours) Degree obtained from UZ in 2011, Public Prosecutors Certificate (1992-Domboshava training Centre) and a Certificate in Middle Management from ZIPAM -2001.

He joined Public Service in the Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs on the 1st July 1992 to date. He held the position of Deputy Director in the Department of Policy and Legal Research for the Ministry from 2013 to 2019. Currently he is the Acting Director in the Department of Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs since January 2019.

He is a registered legal practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public.

Oswald Nyakunika – Board Member

Oswald Nyakunika is chartered valuation surveyor and the managing partner of Knight Frank Bulawayo office. He has been in the property field for more than 30 years. He obtained a B. Soc Science degree at Keele University in England and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Land Economy at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and trained in London.

Nyakunika has over 30 years experience in real estate, which includes a spell in the Valuation Office of both the Zimbabwean and the UK governments. Nyakunika has undertaken a number of investment/development appraisal assignments and has acted as project consultant on a number of property developments and refurbishments.

Nyakunika is the past president of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe and past chairman of the board of the Estate Agents Council.

Jaqueline Dambudzo Ndengu – Board Member

J Ndengu went to Goromonzi High School and holds a BSc in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), Masters in Business Administration (UZ) and Certificate in Project Management from the University of Pretoria.

She is a member of the Estate Agents Council. She worked at Finhold, Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board, Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, Centre for Disease Control, LAWS, Action Properties and is now a registered agent and director at DylTan Properties. She is also a board member of the Industrial and Commercial Rent Board.

Grace Mukahanana - Registrar

Grace Mukahanana has 23 years working experience of which 14 years were in property & investments marketing. She holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Studies Honours Degree, a Certificate in Investment and Portfolio Management all from the University of Zimbabwe. She also holds an IMM Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management.

She is a Registered Estate Agent and also a Licentiate member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe.

Grace has passed through organizations such as Old Mutual, Africom and PG. At Old Mutual where Grace spent 14 years she rose through the ranks in the property business from Property Manager right up to the position of General Manager.
